Supplemental Learning Academic Support Leader
Thompson Rivers University 2010 – 2012
Supplemental Learning (SL) Leaders are students who are brought on to provide support for traditionally difficult first or second year courses. SL Leaders conduct group learning sessions wherein the attendees participate in learning activities related to their course. I was an SL Leader for the PSYC 2130 and PSYC 2230 course (Childhood and Adolescence Psychology 1 & 2). As an SL Leader, I was required to attend training sessions throughout the academic year, attend lectures in the course I was supporting, conduct regular SL sessions 2 – 3 times per week and act as a paraprofessional role model for the students in the course I was supporting.

The Co-Curricular Record is an official TRU document that highlights activities and accomplishments gained both inside and outside of the classroom. Below are some of my demonstrated learning accomplishments as a Supplemental Learning Leader listed on my Co-Curricular Record. Click on the PDF icon to see a copy of my Co-Curricular Record.

Co-op Career Education Student 2010 – 2012
Thompson Rivers University
The Co-op Career Education program involved undergoing a one hour per week seminar on developing professional job seeking assets that I continue to utilize today. During my time as a co-op student I was lucky enough to be employed a Summer Reading Club Program Coordinator in the summer of 2011 and a Orientation Coordinator Co-op Student in the summer of 2012.
